Traffic Glass – Glass against traffic noise

Noise-absorbing glass panels are special glass designed for installation in noise barriers near roads. They represent an innovative solution for reducing noise caused by highway traffic.

Effective sound protection

Glass sound barriers work on the principle of absorption and reflection of sound waves. When sound comes into contact with a glass barrier, part of the sound is absorbed within the glass, while the other part is reflected at different angles, which reduces the intensity of the sound reaching the surrounding area.

Design and aesthetics

Unlike traditional concrete or metal barriers, glass barriers offer a number of advantages that make them an increasingly popular choice. The glass panels are attached to a metal frame, which can be made of stainless steel or aluminum, which ensures the stability and strength of the structure. The aesthetic function of glass is supported by its durability to aggressive environmental influences, resistance to damage from scratches and its slow degradation due to aging. Compared to other materials, which after just a few years of exposure to UV radiation lose their transparency, color fastness, and are susceptible to scratches, glass is the ideal choice here.

Protection for birds

To protect against bird and animal impacts on the glass, screen printing or a special interlayer between the panes of glass is used.

Where transparency is needed

Traffic glass is used on bridges due to its lower weight, but also as an additional element in solid walls, to provide drivers with a view of the surroundings and allow passengers an unrestricted view of nature, even where protection from excessive road and rail traffic noise is needed.

A friend of the environment

Traffic glass is environmentally friendly because it is produced using new, advanced technology that no longer requires cadmium.
